‘It’s pointless to have a nice clean desk, because it means you’re not doing anything.’ Michio Kaku.

12 Jul

Stories from my Sketchbook . . .

That might be easy for Michio Kaku to say, but I can quite easily manage to have a lot of stuff on my desk (at home at least) and still not actually be doing much.

I’ve been thinking some more about what I wrote in my last post.  Do you think ‘art stuff’ could be classed as just ‘one thing’?

Because if I have to count every single pen, pencil, paintbrush, ink bottle, rubber stampe, eraserI’m screwed . . . .

I’m glad you are saying ‘art stuff’ instead of ‘stuff the art’ as I really look forward to seeing your sketches Sal 🙂

Great sketch! lolly jar =1; tech gadgets=1. Give me a clear desk and I can fill it up for you….

I have noticed that you do manage to fill my nice clear (work) desk up on a fairly regular basis . . . I guess you are allowed – being as you are my boss . . .

Another good sketch Sal, very detailed so it must have taken a while?
Art stuff would definitely count as one thing – same as my wine collection!
And I happen to think the sign of a clean desk is that you have been efficient and done everything – and now you are looking for some more work to do (or maybe not …….. 🙂 )

      So ‘art stuff’ = 1. ‘Wine collection’ = 1. This could work out after all . . . .
